XERF, and Why We Chose It

Amanda Hlatky · Founder & Dermal Therapist

This fall, we're bringing XERF to Glow.

Whenever I bring new technology into the clinic, it's usually because I'm seeing a need somewhere first, either in my own skin, or in the same goals I'm hearing repeatedly from my clients.

As my clients' skin changes, their priorities change too. I've always wanted Glow to grow alongside them and to stay at the forefront of technology, but only when the technology actually makes sense.

That's what led me to XERF.

Why XERF caught my attention

There is no shortage of devices being launched in aesthetics, and I'm not interested in bringing something in just because it's new or getting attention. It has to fill a gap for me.

More and more, I'm treating clients who are happy with their skin but are starting to notice laxity, softness through the lower face, or a loss of some of the firmness and definition they used to have. Naturally, those are also things I'm becoming more aware of in my own skin.

I wanted another way to address that without changing the face, over-treating the tissue, or trying to make one technology do everything.

That's where XERF started to make a lot of sense.

How XERF works

XERF is a radiofrequency device designed to deliver controlled heat into deeper layers of tissue to stimulate collagen remodeling and improve firmness and laxity.

What stands out to us is the level of control in how that energy is delivered.

XERF uses real-time tissue impedance feedback, controlled pulse delivery and integrated cooling. In simple terms, it is continuously reading the tissue as we treat, while protecting the surface of the skin and delivering heat at depth.

That matters because with energy-based treatments, more is not automatically better. We want to know what we are trying to achieve, where we are delivering the energy and why.

Our goal is always to create enough stimulation to encourage remodeling and strengthening over time, without treating aggressively for the sake of it.

Where XERF fits at Glow

XERF won't replace everything else we do, and it won't be the right treatment for everyone.

That's actually why we choose to have different technologies available.

Depending on the person, we may choose XERF, EMFACE, EXION, BBL, Halo, ClearSilk, SkinTyte or a combination of treatments. They all work differently, and our job is to understand when each one makes sense.

We never want to force every concern into the same treatment plan.

How we treat depends on your skin, your anatomy, what is starting to change, what bothers you and what you actually want to improve.

For us, XERF fills a space we've been wanting to fill for a while, and we're very excited to bring it into Glow this fall.

Tell me when it launches   or   book a consultation and we can start planning what makes sense for your skin.
