What Is a Cherry Angioma?

A cherry angioma is a small collection of tiny blood vessels that forms just beneath the surface of the skin.

They typically appear as:

• Bright red spots

• Dark red or purple raised bumps

• Smooth, well-defined lesions

• Growths ranging from pinhead size to several millimetres

Cherry angiomas can develop anywhere on the body but are most commonly found on the:

Are Cherry Angiomas Dangerous?

Cherry angiomas are benign and do not become cancerous.
